Listen & Learn: Polar Plunge

January 11, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

The Polar Plunge raises awareness and money for more than 8,000 Special Olympic Athletes in MN. Learn what’s new at an upcoming one-hour, informative, virtual Listen & Learn event on Wednesday, January 11 from 10-11 am.

The Polar Plunge is part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. Law Enforcement continues to grow the program and look for new ideas to raise money for Special Olympic athletes. 2023 will bring a couple of those new ideas such as a Bass Fishing Tournament and a Super Plunge. Join Keith Melrose, Sergeant and Darcie Zirbes ACCESS Team and Detective, both with the Alexandria Police Department, to learn what an “Alexandria” twist looks like for the 2023 Polar Plunge activities and why they are so important.

The event is open to everyone and is free of charge. Register by visiting the Alexandria Chamber website at alexandriamn.org and look for the registration link on the main page.
