Would you like to make a jar luminary to be used in this year’s Luminary event? Drop by the interpretive center classroom, located downstairs in the Trail Center, anytime during the program hour to make a quick craft.
The craft takes about 5-10 minutes to make and is designed for ages 6 and up. Younger participants may need adult assistance, or they can decorate a luminary bag instead.
Once you are finished decorating your luminary, park staff will take them to be used in the upcoming luminary hike. After the hike, participants can come collect their jar from the Interpretive Center.
There will be 100 jars for decorating on a first come basis. If we run out jars, participants can decorate a luminary bag instead. Due to weathering, decorated bags will not be returned to participants after the hike.
