Camp Craft Cocktails, Surprise in a Jar!

There is apparently a way to make your favorite spirits even better! It’s a drink that you can make at home called a Camp Craft Cocktail. We found them at Copper Pony in Sauk Rapids and at The Dashery in Alexandria.

Here’s how it works. Buy one of the Crafted Cocktail Jars that are filled with spices, florals, dried fruits and other flavors. They come with fancy names like Pumpkin Smash, Berry Blend, Hibiscus Ginger Lemon, Pineapple Jalapeno, Mountain Pass, Aromatic Citrus or Hot Toddy to name a few. Then, fill them with your favorite alcohol like Rum, Tequila, Vodka, Gin or Whiskey. Put the jar in the fridge for 3 days. Shake and stain and you’ve got a Camp Craft Cocktail with a fun new flavor. Use them to mix or sip. Typically you can get 8-16 drinks out of one Jar of Camp Craft Cocktails. Eight drinks come out of a single fill of the jar and you can refill for a second second round.

There are about a ten or so choices with all manor of flavors. Some names you’ll recognize, like Hot Toddy and others they just made up because it was fun like Sweater Weather.
