The Berglund Family’s Annual Christmas Lights Caravan Tour

Back and better than ever for it’s 3rd consecutive year, this year’s Christmas lights tour will serve as a special fundraiser!

The Berglund Family’s Annual Christmas Lights Tour began as a gift to the Alexandria MN Lakes Area in December of 2020. Local resident, Jonah Berglund, decided to open up his own family’s tradition to the community he loves. Approximately 5 vehicles joined those of his family for the tour that year.

He brought it back the following year, 2021, and the response was astounding with over 40 vehicles large and small joining the caravan tour that year. Many compliments were received at the conclusion of the tour.

In early 2022, Jonah and his wife moved forward with plans to adopt a sibling group. The initial plan was to adopt domestically, but God invited them to think bigger as doors began closing all around them. Rather than give way to discouragement, they stepped forward into the idea of an International adoption and doors began opening!

This year’s tour will serve as a fundraiser toward Jonah & Tiffany’s adoption of an International sibling group. The financial cost of each tour that Jonah leads is roughly $20.00. The financial cost of scouting and mapping the light displays, and then creating a tour route is nearly $600.00 annually. Anyone wishing to help defray the cost of the tour event is asked to donate gas cards.

As in year’s past, load up your vehicle with people you love and bring along your favorite Christmas music, warm beverages, and festive goodies to make some great memories together! Tours last approximately 45 minutes each and features some of the local area’s best Christmas lights displays!
